Family-run, authentic Italian restaurant group San Carlo has launched a new outdoor terrace, Il Giardino, at its Alderley Edge location on London Road.
In the heart of the village, the terrace is an idyllic sun trap, with 60 covers for guests to enjoy San Carlo’s extensive food and drinks menu.
Set in Cheshire’s idyllic Alderley Edge, the sunny dining terrace is decorated with vivid pink and fresh green parasols,soft festoon lighting, comfortable seating and an abundance of plants and greenery.
The terrace, which transforms into a cosy haven in the evenings, is an extension of the lively atmosphere of the luxurious indoor restaurant, which was refurbished in September 2023 and is now one of the most popular establishments to dine out in the village. San Carlo Alderley Edge offers an opulent, contemporary take on traditional Italian dining, with its design inspired by Grand Milanese villas and gardens, creating a space that has a captivating ambience. Guests can enjoy post dinner drinks and late lounge music on Friday and Saturday nights.
Il Giardino offers a welcoming environment for all guests, with the newly designed space being dog friendly. The terrace is reminiscent of a chic Italian garden restaurant and ideal for those looking for an authentic Italian meal or a relaxing drink after a village walk, now with furry companions in tow too. It also boasts a retractable roof and features and a beautiful white pergola strung with Italian crystal pendant lights, an open flame fireplace and the abundance of verdant planting creates a captivating terrace, reminiscent of a chic Italian restaurant.
Guests can order from the full San Carlo food and drinks menu to Il Giardino, which includes a wide selection of authentic Italian dishes from antipasti, neapolitan pizzas, ample pasta choices and a range of meat and fish delicacies.
Beverages available on the terrace include a wide range of premium wines, prosecco and champagnes. Additionally, guests can enjoy classic cocktails and San Carlo’s signature after-dinner cocktails such as the Nutcracker, the Moonlight and the Sproppino.
Since opening its first restaurant in 1992 on Temple Street, Birmingham, the family-run San Carlo Group is now a £60M award winning restaurant empire that currently numbers 25 authentic Italian restaurants across the UK. In addition to its UK sites, internationally the Group also has restaurants in Kuwait, Bangkok, Qatar, Bahrain and Dubai and will soon be further expanding into Miami.
