The Government had a majority of 260 in the vote following an amendment by the Scottish National Party

The seven Labour MPs who voted against the Government on an amendment to scrap the two-child benefit cap have had the whip suspended

Apsana Begum, Richard Burgon, Ian Byrne, Imran Hussain, John McDonnell and Zarah Sultana were the other six who voted against the Government
