A Salford Councillor is tanding for election in the Cotswolds it has been revealed
Lib Dem councillor for Ordsall Chris Twells is standing as a candidate in the Tetbury with Upton Ward in May
Salford City Mayor Paul Dennett has written to Mr Twells asking him top explain himself and noting his poor absence in council meetings over the year
Twells successfully campaigned against veteran Labour rival John Walsh to take the Salford seat in a by election
Dennett tweeted:
“After winning his seat by 90 votes in Ordsall claiming to be the ‘local candidate’, I am shocked to find sitting Salford Lib Dem Councillor Chris Twells is a resident of Tetbury in the Cotswolds, and presently standing there for election”
