Residents and tourists have been dealing with the dozens of tremors that have hit Santorini as families boarded ferries and extra flights were laid on to help people leave the Greek island.
The tremors, some with a magnitude above 4, have been recorded between the volcanic islands of Santorini and Amorgos in the Aegean Sea since Friday
Nearly 200 earthquakes have occurred on the island of Santorini within 48 hours. There are fears that the volcano on the island may become active.
Greek Prime Minister Mitsotakis:
We have declared the highest level of alert: we are preparing for a catastrophe that may happen.
