Reports this afternoon suggest thatManchester United are set to cut around 200 jobs across the club today in a sweeping cost-cutting move under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s new regime.
The redundancies will reportedly hit departments such as marketing, hospitality, ticketing, and parts of the youth and community outreach teams. Insiders claim staff were notified with little warning, as the club looks to “realign its internal structure” under INEOS leadership.
It’s believed the move is part of a wider plan to slash £18 million in annual costs, with around 12–15% of non-playing staff affected. Some employees say they’d heard whispers for weeks, but few expected the scale of today’s cuts.
