Dogs Trust Manchester staff and their canine companions are celebrating after their Christmas Fair raised more than £8,000.

Highlights of the event, which took place at the weekend  included canine companions being able to have their picture taken with Santa Paws, gift and craft stalls, a raffle and tombola, a cake stall and festive refreshments. In total £8,733.73p was raised – more than ever before.

Supporter Relations Officer at Dogs Trust Manchester, Louise Danson, said:

“We have never raised this much so we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us. Every day we are looking after around 80 dogs and every penny will be spent on making sure they have everything they need over Christmas, and for however long they are with us.

“Without the support of the dog loving public we wouldn’t be able to care for our dogs in the way we do, so we would like to say a huge thank you and wish everyone, and their four-legged friends, a happy Christmas and a happy and healthy 2020.”
