A new poll published overnight suggests that the Tories could win just 66 seats in the general election

The poll by Electoral Calculus surveyed 10,000 people taking tactical voting into account and was published by GB News.

The polling puts Labour on 476 seats with the Tories just finishing in second place with seven seats more than the Lib Dem’s

If actually correct the party would lose eighteen Cabinet members including Oliver Dowden, James Cleverly, Kemi Badenoch and Penny Mordaunt.

Even without tactical voting factored in, the Tories are predicted to win just 72 seats in the poll to Labour’s 493.

In Scotland the SNP would lose almost half of its 43 seats in Westminster.
