Nine all-terrain vehicles, including quad bikes were seized along with five motorcycles were seized by police earlier today in Radcliffe after two search warrants at two units on Bolton Street were carried out

The value of the vehicles seized is approximately valued to be more than £100,000.

An ongoing investigation alongside this after an earlier warrant in April when Operation AVRO was in Bury has uncovered the units and vehicles which may have been used in crime.

A 25-year-old man was originally charged with drugs offences and has been remanded, whilst a 51-year-old woman remains on bail pending further investigation.

Detective Sergeant Craig Murray from the  Bury Challenger team said; “This is a prime example of when one thing potentially leads to another and due to investigative work and enquiries we have uncovered further items we believe could have been used or related to crime.

“Following finding the 14 high-powered vehicles, it means we have seized these, taken them off the streets and allows us to progress our enquiries further.

“Our work is ongoing into criminality that can have devastating impacts on communities across Bury, including the use of vehicles such as this in anti-social and dangerous ways, and would urge members of the public to continue to submit any information they have direct to 101 or through Crimestoppers, as that allows us to build a picture to ensure we can keep people safe.”
