Cheshire Police have issued a CCTV image of a man they are looking to speak to after a man was seriously assaulted in Knutsford town centre in the early hours of Saturday morning
It follows an incident when police were called to the Cuckoo Bar on Princess Street.
A 31-year-old man from Sheffield, sustained head injuries after being punched in the face and knocked unconscious during an unprovoked attackof the incident and was taken to Aintree Hospital where he is currently recovering from his injuries.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and as part of the investigation officers have now released a CCTV image of a man they are looking to speak to.
Detective Sergeant Thomas Binder, of Macclesfield CID, said:
“Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and we are committed to doing all we can to identify the person responsible.
“As part of our investigation, we are keen to speak to the man in the CCTV images as we believe he may hold important information.

“I would also like to appeal directly to the man in the CCTV images to get in touch.”
