Plans submitted to Trafford Council by developers Cole Waterhouse would see the site of the former Hilti building in Stretford transformed into a higher education facility, alongside 438 build-to-rent apartments and 419 student bedsit
The scheme known as Trafford Wharf and designed by Chapman Taylor would feature two build to rent towers rising to 21 storeys and 24 storeys with the Purpose-built student accommodation spread across two block rising to 13 and 16 storeys.
The 2.2 acre plot is located within Trafford Council’s Wharfside regeneration zone which aims to transform the area, delivering up to 5,000 new homes and a new stadium for Manchester United.

The scheme will see the creation of over 1,300 jobs during construction and nearly 300 during operation
