Plans for the development of potentially 2,500 homes in Trafford have gone out for consultation
The plans known as Davenport Green to the south of Ridgeway Road in Timperley by Royal London Asset Management will include the creation of a new Rural Park, new transport infrastructure, local centre and approximately 60,000sqm of employment floorspace
Davenport Green is allocated for development in Places for Everyone
The site is located between Hale Barns and Timperley, with Roaring Gate Lane running through the centre of the site. Ringway Golf Club and an area of agricultural fields will become a new rural park separating the new development from the eastern edge of Hale
Furthermore, an extension to the existing Metrolink line is proposed alongside the development.
There is also potential for a new mainline Manchester Airport railway station, in line with what was originally planned as part of HS2 northern leg.
