Manchester University Press have announced they will be publishing a new book on the work and enduring legacy of the beloved actress, comedian, writer and director, Caroline Aherne, written by author, poet and presenter, David Scott.

Best known for playing Denise in The Royle Family, a series which she co-wrote, as well as the acerbic chat show host Mrs Merton, in various roles in The Fast Show. She died of cancer at the age of 52 in 2016.
