Martyn’s Law has past its third and final reading in the House of Lords leaving two small steps in the House of Commons before it enters the statute book
The law will mean venues will have a legal duty to provide security
It follows the campaign was started by Figen Murray, after the loss of her son, 29-year-old Martyn Hett, in the Manchester Arena attack.
The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Bill will require venues expecting 200 or more attendees to have measures in place to prepare for potential terrorist threats.
