The discount retailer has taken possession of a previous Wilko store which provides a ground sales upper sales floor to give a combined space of 21,357sqft. which will undergo a comprehensive internal and external refurbishment programme before officially opening its doors at 9am on Wednesday 24th July 2024.
To kick off the celebrations, B&M is inviting the public to come and join us for the big grand opening, which is happening at 9am on Wednesday 24th July 2024. The first 50 customers on opening day will receive a £10 voucher to spend in store! B&M cannot wait to see what customers think of our new store, and we hope that they have a memorable experience on the opening day!
Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts, and plenty more to explore.
The colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from Manchester Central Foodbank to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.
Manchester Central Foodbank was founded in 2013 and distributed 10,358 three-day emergency food supplies given to people in crisis in 2022/2023. They are passionate about tackling food poverty and making sure that those in the local community experiencing food poverty are supported. They don’t believe that anyone in the community should have to face going hungry, this is why they provide nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to those in crisis.
The store manager from B&M said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.”
The store manager also commented: “Manchester Central Foodbank really stood out for us, so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work they do.”
