Manchester favourite, One Eight Six has announced an exciting re-launch set to take place this January.
The live music and cocktail venue captured the imagination of the Manchester nightlife scene when it launched over four years ago with a hidden entrance and is set to fling open its doors once again inviting the city to rediscover one of Deansgate’s most intriguing hotspots.
The live-music bar which is set to operate under new ownership has undergone a subtle yet striking transformation with new booth seating with updated colours, new floors and the return of the One Eight Six dance-floor allowing guests to dance throughout the evening.
Leading the charge into the thrilling new era is Dean Mac, the show-stopping artist and firm Manchester favourite, who was invited back by the new owner. He will headline the venue’s exciting music lineup which will feature a nightly roster of soul, Motown, and RnBperformances by Manchester’s finest musicians and DJs such as the return of the Sublime 7 as well as the ‘Nawti 9’, ‘Six15’, The Feel Good Choir and Twisted Tubes with the relaunch aiming to re-establish One Eight Six as the city’s go-to destination for live music lovers.
Set behind a two-way mirrored door One Eight Six was the heart of the Manchester live music nightlife scene with one of the boldest visions in the city when it opened in 2020. With a new lease of life and fresh energy, the relaunch promises unexpected twists, unforgettable nights, and a new chapter waiting to unfold with firm-favourite Dean at the helm.
The venue, which is set to launch with a VIP party on 24th January will be open to the public from 31st January with a new reimagined cocktail menu. Drawing inspiration from the barbershop upstairs, the new handcrafted creations push the boundaries of mixology with cocktails including ‘Champagne Supernova’, ‘Return of The Mac’ and ‘New York Groove’.
Guests can also enjoy an exceptional selection of craft beers and premium spirits, all served in an intimate yet vibrant atmosphere that cements One Eight Six as Manchester’s ultimate destination for unforgettable nights.
Dean Mac said: “I am so excited to be heading up the team re-launching One Eight Six. We are bringing back the non-stop energy and the unforgettable moments Manchester has truly missed since our closure. With the new ownership comes fresh rules, an elevated experience and a renewed commitment to making every night unforgettable.
“We have really listened to the One Eight Six community with this relaunch scrapping the £12 per person entry fee, making our reservations longer than two hours, improving our live music offering, adding a DJ provided by Six15 every single evening as well as bringing our famous choir back every single Thursday.
“We are so excited to party with you all and do what One Eight Six does best!”
One Eight Six will launch on 31st January with a series of invite only launch events planned to showcase the venue’s new direction from 24th January.
