A man was arrested in Stretford after a hit on run on Deansgate in the early hours of this morning left a pedestrian in his 20’s with potentially life changes injuries.
The driver of the Toyota Prius left the scene following the collision.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop following a collision, driving without due care and attention, causing serious injury by careless driving.
There are road closures in place on Deansgate which are expected to remain in place until for several hours. Commuters are advised to avoid the area where possible.
