A man has been charged with wounding a 40-year-old woman with intent after an incident at Piccadilly Gardens on Monday afternoon.
Manuel Marques 27 of Hyde Road, Manchester, has been charged with single counts of assault, and assault of an emergency worker.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today
A 40-year-old woman had an injury to her forearm which is believed to have been caused by a glass bottle.She was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
