A man has died after a house fire in Droylsden last night
The blaze at the house on Kipling Avenue broke out just before midnight with a woman and child rescued from the family home
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said:
“An investigation has been launched after a man sadly died in a house fire in Tameside.
Police and fire investigators are working to establish a timeline of events leading up to house fire in Droylsden in the early hours of this morning.
“Shortly after 12am this morning, police were called by the fire service to reports of a fire at an address on Kipling Avenue,Droylsden.
“Emergency services attended and a man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman and a child were also present and do not have any injuries.”A scene remains in place on Kipling Avenue whilst officers, alongside fore investigators and crime scene investigators, work to determine the circumstances around this tragic incident.”
