Major resurfacing works are due to take place in Chorlton at the end of July.

Starting on Monday, July 29, a section of Barlow Moor Road between Wilbraham Road and High Lane will be closed for one week, with work crews operating between 7am and 5pm on weekdays, and 8am and 5pm on the weekend.

Traffic will be prohibited from travelling along this road entirely over the course of the works – not just during working hours – however, during working hours traffic marshals will be in place to assist continued access for residents as well as deliveries for businesses, and, signposted diversions will be in place.

It is important to note that access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.

Then from Monday, August 5, Barlow Moor Road will be subject to a closure for two weeks between Maudleth Road West and High Lane. The working hours will be the same as with the previous section, with marshals and diversions in place to assist access for residents and motorists.
