People are invited to a get-together at Longford Park, Stretford, on Sunday 11 May
It’s all part of the Park’s popular Community Allotment Open Day this year will be combined with a celebration to mark the beginning of the £6m People, Place and Nature Project, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, which will transform the park for people and wildlife.
The fun from 1.30pm to 4.30pm is set to include plant sale, home-made cakes and snacks, live music, a talk by local author Juliette Tomlinson, and a chance to try crown green bowling.
The Friends of Longford Park and staff from Trafford Council will also be there to talk about improvement plans.
