A 36 year old man from Littleborough Andrew Cairns has been charged with causing the death of 11 year old Ruby Cropper by dangerous driving last August.
Andrew Cairns will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates court on Thursday 24 June.
11-year-old Ruby Cropper was crossing the road with a friend when she was hit by a blue Suzuki Alto on New Road, close to the junction of Hollinhurst Road.
Ruby suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, where she sadly passed away two days later despite the best efforts of medical staff.
