Labour’s Shadow Levelling up Secretary and Wigan MP Lisa Nandy has visited a picket line days after a shadow minister was sacked by party leader Kier Starmer after being interviewed on an RMT picket line outside Euston station
Nandy visited the Wigan picket line this moring to speak to BT & Openreach members of the Communications Union who are currently on strike
It is understood however that Lisa Nandy sought and was given permission by Keir Starmer to attend this picket line.
Unlike Sam Tarry, she didn’t do a full round of unauthorised interviews and defy party policy while there
Tarry said on Twitter
“Senior Labour politicians need to demonstrate loud and clear that our Party is on the side of ordinary working people who are fighting back against this anti-worker Government.”
