A Leigh man who went in the run after a shooting has now be caught by police and faces an attempted murder charge
Scott Higgins,35 of Kirkhall Lane in Leigh, was wanted in connection with a firearms discharge on Fisher Close in the Worsley Mesnes area of Wigan earlier this month
He was apprehended on Worsley Mesnes Drive in Wigan on Wednesday and was arrested. Higgins has now been charged on suspicion of a number of offence
Detective Inspector Lee Gridley of Wigan CID said: “This manhunt was undertaken by my team, who were relentless in their pursuit of Higgins.
“By using CCTV and public intelligence, they were able to locate and apprehend him. This is sure to be a huge relief to the communities in both Wigan and Leigh.
