TV star is heading to Oldham for a panto performance this Easter.

Katie is coming to Oldham on Good Friday for two performances of Pinocchio at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.

Speaking to us backstage in rehearsals, Katie was excited by the arrival of a pair of glitzy shoes for her role as the Blue Fairy.

Describing her sparkling wardrobe for the show, she said: “I have a wand and I wear a tutu. It reminds me of my first wedding. It’s very girly, girly.

“And I’ve seen the set and I know it’s going to be a magical family experience.”

The model and TV star is looking forward to wowing audiences when the touring show rolls into Oldham.

“I can’t wait to come to Oldham. I’m not playing a baddie and it’s a chance to be a fairy on stage,” she laughed.

“It will be an amazing Easter.”

The mother-of-five, who has previously starred in a pantomime over Christmas, says she can’t wait for her children and her mum Amy to see her in her first ever Easter production.

“We always used to see panto when I was growing up and it’s a tradition for a lot of families.

“This will be my first Easter panto and it will be the first time that my son Junior has watched me in panto. I think people will be surprised to see a different side to me.”

Katie is looking forward to showing off her singing voice in panto, featuring songs from Pinocchio and the hit musical Wicked.

“The numbers are theatrical, and I’ll be dancing which is not something I’m good at as I’m so clumsy. But I’m excited to be pushed out of my comfort zone.

“I’ll be acting, singing, dancing and I can’t wait for people to come and see for themselves. They might get a surprise.”
