Independent restaurant BAB has a secret worth blabbing about: Introducing a unique, underground bar space hidden in Stevenson Square.
A dining space by day and party destination by night, expect a cosy and casual downstairs space with a welcoming Manc atmosphere. Earthy textures and greenery complement the fresh use of ingredients, while a DJ booth sets the party scene.
The refurbished downstairs bar and restaurant will extend BAB’s capacity by 75 covers. The new area will also be bookable for private parties of up to 150, with bespoke packages available.
Launching on 27th March, BAB’s new bar space will be serving up new cocktails and a refreshed Spring menu bursting with a ‘bab’ load of flavour.
Made using locally sourced ingredients and homemade marinades, BAB’s spring menu shakes things up with all-new burgers, bowls, and bab toppings. Served with slaw and seasoned fries, choose from Islak Beef Burger, Nacho Crispy Chicken, Spiced Halloumi, and Falafel burgers.
On a health kick? BAB’s fresh, new salad bowls are served with mujadara rice, pickled red cabbage, salad, hummus, tomatoes, and slaw. With the option to add flatbread and homemade sauce, enjoy toppings including spiced halloumi, falafel, chicken skewer, and garlic prawns.
Served on homemade flatbread, new kebabs include Surf & Turf, Chicken Shwarma, Nacho Chicken, Souvlaki Halloumi, Roasted Tenderstem, and Spiced Calamari.
Looking for a ‘babsolutely’ delicious lunch deal? Grab a bab, burger or bowl for £10, with the lunch special available from 12pm-3pm.
Come for the babs, stay for the cocktails. Twists on classics like the Mexican Chilli Margarita are back with a bang, alongside some new additions like the Caramel Espresso Martini, Mint Choc Cooler and Cranberry Whiskey Sour.
This fiercely proud, independent restaurant turns seven in November. BAB’s menu is carefully crafted using the best of locally sourced ingredients, vibrant flavours and Northern comforts.
BAB owner Kevin Connor said: “I am delighted to be unveiling BAB’s refurbished space and refreshed menu, which now includes burgers and bowls. BAB is very popular amongst Manchester foodies, and our versatile downstairs space will allow us to serve more of the Manchester community. It will also be a great spot for private parties.”
