Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has said that he will not quit but will leave without compensation if the board or fans feel he is not the right person for the job

Amorim was speaking after United lost 1-0 to Tottenham in the Europa League final in Bilbao after a disappointing performance

“I will not quit. I am confident in my job and I will not change anything” he said after the match

“If the board or fans feel that I’m not the right guy, I will go the next day without any conversation about compensation… but I will NOT quit”.

Captain Bruno Fernandes added “I do think Rúben Amorim is the right man for us”.

“I don’t think what happened this season shows exactly what he is as a manager. I do think he’s the right manager for the future of this club”.

Amorim added

“I waited so long to change clubs because I only wanted this club, Man United”.

Speaking about the game the manager said he that he thought United were the better team in the game,

“but in the end – if you don’t score goals, you don’t win matches.”
