HOME has announced five spectacular new shows which will take place as part of the brand-new season at HOME, running from Wed 24 Jan – Sat 8 Jun.

The new additions will feature dance-fueled comedies, poignant and inspiring stories, magical family shows, and side-splitting stand up, all taking place across its two theatres.

From Fri 22 Mar – Sun 24 Mar, families are in for a treat with The Gingerbread Man. Presented by Stuff and Nonsense, this enchanting retelling of the classic tale combines puppetry, live action, comedy and music. Join the deliciously smelling Gingerbread Man on an epic quest, as he finds his feet fast and sets off on a journey of a lifetime.

On Thu 4 and Fri 5 Apr, brace yourself forBloody Mary: LIVE!, a gleefully vicious stand-up special where teen queen Mary Tudor takes centre stage. Written and performed by Olivia Miller, Mary tackles the drama every queenagerdeals with, including divorced parents, sibling rivalry and religious purges. Tipped by The Guardian as one of the must-see shows at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2022, this smart and irreverent one-woman comedy show promises a night of historical revisionism and bloody good laughs.

From Wed 10 Apr – Sat 13 Apr, immerse yourself in the rhythm of Northern Soul with Do I Love You written by the acclaimed John Godber, this dance-fueled comedy follows the journey of Sally, Nat, and Kyle as they develop a lasting passion for the vibrant Northern Soul scene. Spread the talc, grab your loafers, and join the trio on a soulful weekender.

Witness Silence from Tue 30 Apr – Sat 4 May. Presented by Tara Theatre, this thought-provoking production premiered in 2022 at the Donmar Warehouse to mark 75 years since the Partition of India. Directed by the late Abdul Shayek, and later taken on by Associate Director of Birmingham Rep Iqbal Khan, a friend and colleague of Abdul’s, Silence delves into the legacy of this brutal moment in history. Based on Kavita Puri’s acclaimed book ‘Partition Voices: Untold British Stories’ and adapted from the stories of people who lived through partition,Silence brings to life real testimonies, offering a powerful communal storytelling.

Catch I Wish from Sat 25 May – Sat 1 Jun for a whimsical journey into a fairy-tale world full of hopes and dreams. Co-created and performed by the internationally acclaimed Le Gateau Chocolat, this brand-new, one-person show filled with song and magic tells a new fable for our times – one of self-discovery, acceptance, and joy. I Wish has been made possible with Arts Council England National Lottery funding.

Tickets went on sale to HOME Friends from Mon 22 Jan, and HOME Members from Tue 23 Jan, with tickets on general sale from Wed 24 Jan.
