The brand new Vintage Vibes event by the East Lancashire Railway is shaping up to be even bigger, with more acts confirmed to bring you the best of years gone by.
Get ready for an unforgettable weekend of soulful tunes and timeless classics. With music, food, events and costumes inspired by the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s.
Along with previously confirmed headliners including The Real Thing, The Barron Soul DJ, Northern Soul Train and Sixties Mania, seven new acts are hitting the stages at Bury Bolton Street, Rawtenstall, Ramsbottom and Heywood Stations.
Local radio personality, David Dockerty, will serve as MC for both days of the event. A familiar voice on Bolton FM, David will bring his trademark energy and charm to the stage.
The Washboard Resonators will kick off the weekend on Saturday 24th May, performing an acoustic set embodying the 1920s, 30s & 40s on the main stage at Bury Bolton Street Station at 12pm.
A whopping three new headliners have been added to Sunday’s line up! Motown marvel, Jackie Marie, will bring soulful tunes and timeless classics to the main stage at 12pm.
Later in the day at 5:45 pm, watch as Disco band, Groovemental, don their flares and get the crowd dancing to all the best of 70s disco hits.
To round off the weekend in perfect sing-along fashion, tribute act, Masters of the Scene, will belt out all your favourite ABBA hits and keep you singing for the rest of the night.
But the fun doesn’t stop at the main stage!
Vintage entertainer, Lilli Moore, is set to perform at Heywood Station all afternoon on both days of the event.
Lancashire Belle, a 1940s singer and entertainer, will showcase tunes from the decade all day at Rawtenstall on 24th and at Ramsbottom on 25th.
