Ahead of Fresher’s Week, Vietnamese street food restaurant, Pho, will be taking their ‘Pho-Fix’ pop-up on the road, offering free ‘hangover-curing’ phở noodle soups to Manchester students. On 19th September, from 12 PM – 3 PM, students can visit the pop-up at Manchester Academy (University of Manchester Students’ Union) to enjoy a hot, comforting bowl of Pho’s signature dish, aimed at alleviating post-party symptoms.
The Pho-Fix experience will cater to all hangover needs from the night before, and with Freshers Week around the corner, students can enjoy some much-needed relief with a nourishing meal. Manchester’s hungry students will be ‘prescribed’ an order of Classic Beef, Spicy Chicken or Spicy THIS Isn’t Chicken Phở. Instead of reaching for a typical ‘day-after’ fix, it’s time to switch it up with something wholesomely replenishing.
Following the success of the ‘Pho-Fix’ last December, which saw the restaurant group serving up hundreds of bowls of their hangover-blasting phở in London’s Soho, the brand is now amplifying this experience exclusively for students. In addition to a free soup, students who show up to the pop-up, with a student ID, will have a chance to get their hands on other freebies and prizes, ranging from wellness products to home-cooking supplies.
Pho’s restaurant in Manchester (Corn Exchange) is also running a limited-time student discount for those who dine in. They will be able to get a one-time 25% off food discount, from 16th September – 31st October 2024.
Vietnam’s national dish, Phở has been shown to have numerous health benefits from its base of twelve-hour bone broth, tonnes of fresh herbs and spices, plus the right balance of protein, carbohydrates and vegetables. According to Healthline these benefits include reducing inflammation, boosting the immune system and providing essential nutrients and minerals, contributing to pho being the ultimate hangover food.
The Pho-Fix pop-up will run on 19th September at Manchester Academy, University of Manchester Students’ Union, Devas Street, Manchester, M15 6JA, between 12 PM – 3 PM and will be free for all students (all guests must show a valid student ID). Manchester students will also be able to grab 25% off food (dine-in only and drinks excluded), from 16th September – 31st October 2024, by showing their student ID.
