Two former Greater Manchester MP’s have been given peerages in the dissolution honours list
Sir Graham Brady, the former chairman of the 1922 committee and Altrincham and Sale West Tory MP was honoured by Rishi Sunak while Barbara Keeley who stood down as Labour MP for Worsley and Eccles South when the election was called
Sunak also honoured Theresa May,Chris Grayling and No10 chief of staff Liam Booth Smith along with his key allies allies Oliver Dowden and Julian Smith
Kier Starmer also gave peerages Harriet Harman, Margaret Hodge, Margaret Beckett
