A five year old child is in hospital with life threatening injuries after a crash on the M67 yesterday
He was a passenger in an Vauxhall Astra which was in a collision with a HGV
A 39-year-old man – the driver of the HGV – was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving.
The driver of the Astra,a 38 year old woman was also taken to hospital,her injuries are described as not life-threatening
Investigations are ongoing at this stage.
GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They are also keen to speak to anyone who may have any footage, including dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area in the moments leading up to the collision.
