Five branches of Lloyds and Halifax will be closing across Greater Manchester as the Banking Group announced has it’s set to shut 136 more high street branches.

Lloyds in Farnworth, will close in May. The Halifax in Walkden close in September, and Lloyds in Bury and Halifax in Bolton during the autumn.

The Lloyds bank in Moston is a set to close next year.

The closures will not result in job reductions, Lloyds said, adding that the affected personnel will be offered a role at another branch or part of its business.
