CAPITAL&CENTRIC, the social impact developers behind the reboot of Farnworth’s former derelict market precinct have revealed the first look inside their new homes that are now up for grabs.

Dubbed Farnworth Green, the new community will consist of 97 rental homes, made up of a super energy efficient range of townhouses and apartments.

The homes will be a mix of one, two and three beds, with 85 stunning apartments and 12 family homes, which have been designed with the same high-quality features usually reserved for city centre spaces like Capital&Centric’s Kampus and Crusader Mill in Manchester.

The new townhouses will be the first to be delivered under the developer’s ‘Neighbourhood’ brand, which includes Bolton’s first-ever operationally net zero homes, which will slash energy bills for residents.

Designed for renters, they come with even more space to hang out, as well private gardens to be enjoyed when the sun makes an appearance, and potting sheds for all the green-fingered people out there. Residents will also have access to the exclusive rooftop garden, gym, lounge, co-working spaces, and dog washing stations for your canine companions.

The two-bed apartments will be packed with Scandi-designed HAY furniture and massive floor-to-ceiling windows to flood the rooms with light. The top spec kitchens are all kitted out with all the mod-comms and the latest appliances you can expect, with space to throw resident shindigs or just have your mates round for a natter.

Farnworth Green is also one of the first communities that will fly under the Ollo flag, a new company by Capital&Centric aimed to raise the bar for rentals. Aimed at staying around for the long term, the on-site team will make life easy for residents, with a raft of services from cleaning to pet sitting. The dedicated Ollo app provides the total package where residents can chat to neighbours, sign up to social events, nab exclusive resident discounts and report maintenance issues.

Would-be residents queued around the block to get first dibs on a new home at the hotly anticipated pre-launch recently, where all 30 available homes were snapped up on the day. The buzz has continued over the last couple of weeks with 50% of all available homes finding new residents.

A raft of independent bars, eateries and shops will complement the ground floor community hub giving locals and residents a place to meet up and enjoy seasonal outdoor events that will be planned once the neighbourhood is up and running. The Coffee House recently opened its doors at Farnworth Green, bringing its banging selection of handmade sandwiches and highly rated coffee to the neighbourhood.

Residents will also be able to hang out in a brand-new public square at the heart of the community. The square will give Farnworth Green a bold injection of greenery and will also play host to artisan markets, art shows and foodie pop ups.
