Firefighters have been tackling a blaze this evening at a caravan storage yard
People living close to the site have reported hearing the sound of explosions coming from the site on Stock Lane
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘Shortly after 8.50pm this evening, six fire engines from Chadderton, Oldham, Hollins, Heywood, Rochdale and Ashton fire stations, were called to a fire on Stock Lane, Chadderton.
‘Firefighters arrived quickly and are currently working to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.
‘Crews remain in attendance at this time.’
