Plumes of smoke have been seen across Oldham this morning as emergency services are in attendance in the area of Higginshaw as fire has broken out at a scrapyard
Higginshaw Lane is closed in both directions in the area and bus services are being diverted
The fire service are asking that residents keep the area clear and shut their doors and windows as there is a lot of smoke, and so they can continue to work quickly.
