Manchester based flexible workspace provider, Colony, is seeing big success so far in 2025. With coworking spaces and office spaces to let across six (soon to be seven) Manchester locations, they’re smashing records and continuing to meet the demand for more.
Colony has reported a record-breaking number of coworking memberships, with a 30% uplift across all of their venues for floating desk/coworking memberships during the first three months of 2025 alone, demonstrating an increased demand from remote workers for conveniently located office spaces around the city centre.
Two of Colony’s major locations, One Silk Street and Piccadilly have smashed their targets for floating desk occupancy, showing a huge demand for coworking spaces in these areas.
One Silk Street, located in Ancoats, has hit and surpassed its coworking membership target at 105% while the Piccadilly location has surpassed it by a third (133%). The brand is also at maximum capacity in a number of other locations, such as Jactin House Dedicated Desks and Fabrica Floating Desks.
To meet the growing demand, Colony is preparing to open Spring Gardens in Manchester’s Banking District; the extension to its portfolio coming as they hit capacity in a number of their locations. With continuous and significant growth in dedicated desks, they could be on their way to break more records in coworking memberships. The Spring Gardens location has been designed by Colony’s in-house team and will comprise of private offices, meeting rooms, collaboration zones and a social kitchen.
