A Crumpsall man has been jailed for six years after police found four firearms at his home address in April this year

Victor Sibthorpe was not present at the address, but a search was conducted with officers locating a number of class A and B drugs.

The 25-year-old Sibthorpe of
Chudleigh Road was later arrested at a separate address in Harpurhey on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs.

Further examination of the garden at Sibthorpe’s address, led to the discovery of four firearms all wrapped in black bin bags.

Two self-loading pistols, a revolver, a shotgun and ammunition were all recovered. All of the firearms recovered were found to be viable.

Sibthorpe was subsequently charged with possession of firearms and remanded into custody. He later pleaded guilty to the charges.
