Leading the Daily Downing Street Press Conference the Foreign Secretary Dominic said the Prime Minister will give further updates on the UK’s lockdown later this week.

“We will need to adjust to a “new normal” way of life after lockdown is lessened.” he said adding that the second stage will be “more comfortable” but it “won’t be easy” but the next steps will be “sure footed and sustainable”.

There have been 29,407 UK coronavirus deaths .

He announced that 84,803 coronavirus tests were carried out yesterday, meaning that for the third daay in a row the Government has fallen below its 100,000 a day target.

Meanwhile the government says that it has evidence that sophisticated hackers, known as advanced persistent threat groups, are trying to take advantage of the crisis.

Cyber experts, said Raab, in the UK and the US have published a joint statement today warning of the threat.There are various motives for these threats, from fraud to espionage but they tend to be interested in stealing data, often working with other actors.

In response UK’s National Cyber Security Centre has released new guidance on how governments and businesses can defend themselves against cyber criminals during the pandemic.
