Manchester flexible workspace provider Colony has announced the opening of its most central location in Manchester to date, this April 2025.

The new venue will be located at 19 Spring Gardens within the Upper King Street Conservation Area, benefitting from excellent transport links, with easy access to major hubs such as Piccadilly and Victoria stations.

The newly designed workspace will initially occupy the 5th floor and offer a range of flexible options, including private offices for four to ten people, 16 dedicated coworking desks, meeting rooms, collaboration areas, a community hub, and an outdoor terrace.

The building’s remaining floors, which have been acquired by Colony’s sister company, Northern Group, will be developed in phases to accommodate larger and medium-sized businesses.

With a growing portfolio that already spans Ancoats, New Islington, the Northern Quarter, and Piccadilly, this new location will bring Colony’s total number of flexible workspaces to eight as the company continues to expand across the city.

To celebrate the opening of the Spring Gardens venue, Colony will be hosting a launch event, offering the local community an exclusive preview of the new space.

Aaron Ezair, Founder of Colony, said: “It’s fantastic to finally announce the opening of Spring Gardens, six months after we first shared news of the purchase. 19 Spring Gardens is not only a central location in one of the UK’s most exciting cities for growth, but it is also a state-of-the-art, flexible workspace designed to inspire its members and visitors. It’s an exciting time for Colony, as the launch of this new venue will further expand our network to include global businesses and strengthen our position as a key player in the city’s dynamic coworking network.”

Rebecca Cox, Managing Director at Colony, added: “As we continue to grow in the city centre, we see endless opportunities to collaborate with and support the region’s scaling businesses in the years ahead. We recognise that every business is unique, which is why our flexible workspaces are designed to accommodate diverse needs. With the rise of hybrid working and the growing demand for adaptable spaces, Spring Gardens stands as a key location to support business growth and innovation in this vibrant city – whether that’s through premium workspaces, events, or access to a city-wide network of professionals.”

In addition to the Spring Gardens location, Colony is set to open a second city centre workspace at 76 King Street in September 2025. Colony King Street will offer 16,000 sq ft of coworking and event space, further expanding the company’s footprint in Manchester.
