Comedian, actor, narrator and all round fabulous TV personality, Mr John Thomson will be hosting a Pop Quiz-themed evening in The Dressing Room at The Edge in Chorlton.
For more than three decades, John Thomson has been a well-loved household name, having starred in many TV shows including Cold Feet, The Fast Show, Men Behaving Badly and Coronation Street – as well as performing in many theatre productions and films.
Last summer John was unmasked as Bush Baby in ITV’s The Masked Singer and he has just finished a hugely successful run in Panto, playing Wilbur Turnblad in Hairspray – his first ever musical theatre role.
John is also a brilliant drummer and recently took part in weatherman, Owain Wyn Evans’ fundraising ‘drummathon’ for BBC Children in Need.
Having been team captain in BBC Radio 2’s Gaby’s Talking Pictures since 2016, John will be the perfect quizmaster for the inaugural Pop Quiz at The Edge as he says:
“I love a quiz, and I love pop music so what could be better than for me to host a pop quiz! I might even throw in my own trivia for extra points!!“
Doors will open at 7pm, with a welcome glass of Prosecco (or juice) and the Pop Quiz will start at 8pm. Throughout the evening The Dressing Room bar will be open for drinks, nachos and nibbles! Plus, there will be prizes on the night.
Tickets will be £10 per person for the evening, which will include a welcome drink, with 6 people per team.
There are only 8 tables available and tickets are bound to sell fast so ask your friends and get a team together to test your pop knowledge and have a laugh! Quiz questions will cover all music genres and eras.
