The bus driver who crashed his double decker in Leigh yesterday afternoon has died in hospital police have confirmed
bus driver had suffered a medical episode at the wheel, colliding with a tree and roadside barrier at the junction of Atherleigh Way and Parsonage Way
The driver, a 62-year-old man, was taken to hospital where he later died. His next of kin have been informed.
The bus was out of service and was not carrying any passengers. No one else was injured in the crash.
Police are now appealing for further details and especially to those who have access to dashcam, doorbell and CCTV footage of the moments leading up to the incident to help complete their enquiries.
