An Ardwick man has been charged with attempted murder after attacking another man with a machete in a store on Kentmere Road, Breightmet at the weekend
A man in the shop suffered several serious injuries and is being treated in hospital.
Dale Dean aged 27 of Upper West Grove, Ardwick, has been charged with attempted murder, affray and possession of a bladed article.
He has been remanded into custody before his next court appearance at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court today
A man in his 30s who was arrested on Saturday has been released and no further action will be taken.
