Multi-award-winning expert bakers, Aidan Monks, and Catherine Connor of Lovingly Artisan, who handcraft sourdough bread with unquestioned provenance, taste, and heritage are pleased to be supporting Bounceback Food Community Kitchen as they celebrate the first anniversary of the charity’s first-ever permanent dedicated kitchen on Saturday 29th June.
A year ago, the charity set up their Community Kitchen on Central Way, Altrincham, and ever since they’ve been able to rapidly expand their meal drive operation across Manchester, directly serving beneficiaries from the local homeless community.
Alongside that, they’ve also been able to host all sorts of fundraising events, largely thanks to their innovative ‘buy one, give one’ lunch menu. All of this means that they can now deliver in the region of 400 meals a week, to fourteen different partner food banks and sheltered accommodation sites across Greater Manchester.
To mark this achievement and thank everyone who has supported Bounceback over the last year they’re having a bit of a do, on Saturday 29th June, at their Altrincham home, located on Central Way.
Like many local businesses, Lovingly Artisan supports the vital work Bounceback does. Each week the team gives a supply of freshly baked loaves to the charity to help them meet their mealtime targets. But keen to continue showing their support for their neighbours in their efforts the team at Lovingly Artisan will be hosting a sourdough bread-making workshop and donating all of the money from tickets sold to help Bounceback that little bit more.
So, pop along and show your support and celebrate the first birthday of Bounceback’s Community Kitchen with Aidan Monks and learn all about the health benefits of sourdough, gut health and home baking, Sourdough baking workshop tickets are priced at £20 per person. The workshop starts at 10.30 a.m. runs for an hour and will take place at Central Way, Altrincham, WA14 1SB.
