Tributes have been paid this evening to a member of the team from Manchester’s Contact Theatre Sam Malik.
Sam from from Coppice in Oldham was pronounced dead in the early hours of the morning on Sunday with a suspected heart attack

Sam had been a long standing member of the Contact Team and touched the lives of so many people. Our thoughts are with Sam’s family, friends and colleagues at this time.
Sam was a very bright light at Contact and beyond and will be truly missed.
Sam’s death has been described as a huge loss for Manchester especially its young people
His biography describes him as a creative professional with 15 years experience in the arts, media and youth sector
Manchester’s Cultural Creative also on X said
