On the streets of Charles Darwin’s hometown, critically acclaimed photographers are offering a fresh look at our ever evolving world.

Scientist Charles Darwin is best known for his theory of evolution which, when published in 1859, changed how the world thought about where we came from.

Now, if you take a stroll through the streets of his birthplace of Shrewsbury you can take a fresh look at our ever evolving world through the eyes of internationally renowned photographers.

Evolution Explored is a new outdoor exhibition curated by Magnum Photos and produced by Grain Photography Hub. It is being delivered in partnership with The Hive Arts Centre and Shrewsbury Business Improvement District.

Photographs in the exhibition look at how our changing world continues to evolve.

It explores scientific discoveries, environmental concerns, the impact of technology and some of the major historic events which have shaped the world we live in today.

Photographers with work on display in this ten-week outdoor show include Martin Parr and Stuart Franklin.

See Evolution Explored in The Square and St Mary’s Square in Shrewsbury from 9 February and 23 April 2017.
