In partnership with Manchester Literature Festival / supported by Specsavers & the Madeline Maybe TrustWordsmith performance poetry projects are to be partnered with Manchester Literature Festival for a refreshing and inspiring poetry showcase to take place at Z-arts on Thursday 22nd October, 5pm.

The showcase features guest performances from international poet and singer Zena Edwards & local Manc Singer, producer and Emcee King Burga.

The showcase is the culmination of 20 hours intensive writing and rehearsing by students from Chorlton High, Wright Robinson High School Girls, Burnage Academy Boys & Xaverian 6th form.

All students will receive certification and with special awards for ‘best team’ ‘best individual performance’ ‘best stanza / line & ‘most improved student’

Wordsmith is now in its sixth year and has established itself as a vibrant performance poetry organisation catering for young minds. We urge them to explore, express, and make sense of our fast changing, challenging, exciting world.
