Grab your suitcase, Wood Manchester are going to be transporting diners around the globe. The round the world inspired menu will treat customers’ taste buds to flavours from different countries with a specially crafted four-course menu featuring ingredients, dishes and wines inspired by the location.

First stop? Australia.

The maiden voyage will see diners travel down under to the land of the Sydney Opera House and The Great Barrier Reef. The menu, created by Simon Wood and head chef Mike Jennings, will feature shrimp, kangaroo and crocodile with each course being matched with a beautiful Australian wine hand-picked by Wood’s in-house wine expert.

Simon Wood, winner of MasterChef in 2015, says: “Mike and I have been working really hard to create interesting and delicious menus for each location. It’s really exciting to create new dishes from around the world and bring people together to try new cuisines and dishes.”

Further locations will include Spain, France, South Africa and South America and a few lesser-known culinary treats.

The exclusive events are for 18 people and will take place in Wood’s private dining room. The journey commences on 23/01/2018. There is further information here.
