The 90s alt-rock band best known for hits including ‘Size of a Cow’ and ‘Dizzy’ The Wonder Stuff will open this year’s Ramsbttom Festival it has been announced. 

It is their second appearance at the festival having first taken to the stage in 2012.

More acts have also been added to the festival line up which takes place on the 18th-20th at Ramsbottom Cricket club.

Mercury Prize nominated six piece The Go! Team who combine indie and garage rock with a mixture of Bollywood soundtracks, double Dutch chants, old school hip-hop and distorted guitars with sampling and live instrumentation. Their latest album ‘The Scene Between’ was released earlier this year.

While songwriter and singer John Bramwell with I Am Kloot will be performing songs from all of the Kloot albums and throwing in a few bizarre anecdotes along the way. 

He’ll also be accompanied by cello and piano for only the second time since his legendary ‘Live at the Trades’ album.

Scottish brothers Charlie and Craig Reid of The Proclaimers headline performing material from their upcoming album ‘Let’s Hear it for the Dogs’ alongside folksy anthems ‘I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)’ and ‘Letters to America’ on Sunday while lopping  the bill on Saturday night are Idlewild, returning after a five year break with their latest album Everything Ever Written So Far, ‘which could be their best work so far’ .
