The healthy eating fast food restaurant LEON has confirmed that it will be opening in the Trafford Centre later this spring.

The group, which launched its first outlet in London’s Carnaby Street back in 2004, will have room for almost 70 guests and will not be located in the food court but at the Debenham’s end of the Trafford Centre.

The restaurant will create between 25 and 30 jobs in the area.

A spokesperson for the group told About Manchester: “Launched in London in 2004, the brand serves food that tastes good and does you good, without compromising on flavour. The Manchester LEON menu will give guests the opportunity to try dishes that have been on the menu since their first store opened in 2004.”

The group currently has 37 branches, mostly in and around London, but last year secured funding for a further fifty around the country.

It’s menu is inspired by the flavours, variety and natural healthiness of Mediterranean cooking. Both the founder’s families have Mediterranean roots, and they grew up with those flavours. is the food we grew up with.

One of the founder’s John Vincent recalls how he used to lie on his back and wave his arms and legs in the air with excitement before his once-a-term visit to McDonalds. But then he grew up, and realised that most fast food makes you fall asleep and wake up fat. So, asked himself  why can’t fast food be good food?
