On Saturday 28th April 2018, Waterstones will be celebrating the relocation of its Trafford Centre bookshop from Regent Crescent to new premises on Peel Avenue next to the John Lewis department store.

World Superbike champion Carl Fogarty will be at the bookshop launch, signing copies of his book The World According to Foggy from 5pm.

Popular book character Hugless Douglas will be instore throughout the day, entertaining children from 11am, hosting a storytime at midday and helping to cut the ribbon to officially declare the bookshop open at 1pm.

Bookshop Manager Oliver Smyth says, “We are very excited to be moving our bookshop across to Peel Avenue in the Trafford Centre. Our beautiful new shop has given us the opportunity to review and better tailor our range of titles to our customers’ interests. We have created more space for fiction, history, travel and children’s books, with our excellent new layout allowing us to boast a much more extensive choice of book related gifts.

Children’s activities, such as story-time, craft sessions and treasure hunts will be a big part of our events programme. We want everyone to feel welcome and our booksellers are eager to share our love of books and reading with all our customers.”

The Peel Avenue bookshop will host a varied events programme, including book launches, signings, events with local writers and a wide-range of activities for children.
